Vrachia Hotel

This 50m² hotel room, with angled walls and a very rectangular floor plan, is part of a hotel located in the coastline of Paphos. In the west of Paphos, the Vrachia Hotel has been for years a reference on the search for accommodation in the city, close to the coastline.

However, the increase of the tourists in the island demand for contemporary renovated rooms in the building.

The new hotel rooms should have a double bed, sofa bed, closet, kitchen and bathroom. The challenge of making the space more regular was the initial premise of the space. The search for parallel lines resulted in the project’s concept.

Kitchen cabins, which are summarized in a rough white volume, and includes the kitchen’s needs. In line with this volume, the lighting, in directional spots, accompanies the main flow of the apartment, drawing an “I” and illuminating the way.
